The Story Shack

This project was an interesting challenge: Create postcards, stickers, and apparel graphics for a startup with brand guidelines that are only halfway completed. I had direction for fonts, color, and some textures, but everything else was up to my discretion.

Postcards

The client provided the copy and a selection of imagery, and requested a QR code on the back of both postcards.

The first postcard introduces the brand and promotes its social channels. The second was designed to be shared, and encourages the consumer to send it to someone else.

Apparel

Working closely with project managers and the client, I led the design development across five rounds of revisions to refine the final eight apparel graphics. With no fully established brand guidelines in place, I approached the project as both exploration and system-building, testing a range of typefaces, compositions, and treatments to help define a cohesive visual direction.

Below are the final designs, along with select early concepts. In the initial phase, I was encouraged to push the ideas as far as possible. From there, I refined and simplified them to align with the brand’s emerging identity.
